This document sets forth the ASISTM Online Privacy Policy (the 'Privacy Policy') for this website, asistm.edu.au (the 'Site'). If you have objections to the Privacy Policy, you should not access or use this Site. This Privacy Policy does not govern privacy practices associated with offline activities associated with the ASISTM Project.

Entity collecting information

Personal information submitted to this website is collected by Curriculum Corporation in its role as National Administrator for the ASISTM Project. The Curriculum Corporation address is PO Box 177, South Carlton 3053 Victoria, Australia and the telephone number is (03) 9207 9600.

The personal information collected is protected by the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988. Information on the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 can be found on the Federal Privacy Commissioner's website

Security of information

You should be aware that there are inherent risks associated with the transmission of information via the Internet. For those who do not wish to use the Internet, Curriculum Corporation provides alternative ways of providing information. For example, forms may be requested from Curriculum Corporation, completed and lodged by post.

Curriculum Corporation's internal network and databases are protected from unauthorised access using firewall and other technologies. To improve security of personal information, some electronic forms that collect this information have been secured under the HTTPS protocol (Hypertext Transport Protocol Secure), a standard Web communications protocol that encrypts and decrypts a message for online transmission.

The data we collect: emails and electronic forms

We will record your email address only if you send us a message. Your personal information will only be used for the purposes for which you have provided it. Your email address will not be added to a mailing list.

Where you choose to send us a completed electronic form that includes your personal details, we collect personally identifiable information, such as name, address and email address.

The information collected on this form will be used only for the purpose for which you provided it, and by relevant staff of Curriculum Corporation, the Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and their approved consultants/contractors for the purpose of administration, evaluation and monitoring of the BISTMT Programme, Curriculum Corporation will also disclose this information to The Australian Catholic University for the purpose of administering the Critical Friends component of the ASISTM Project and to members of State and Territory Advisory Groups approved by DEEWR for the purpose of assessing your Project Proposal.

Personal information collected on this online form is collected by Curriculum Corporation for the purposes of assessing your Project Proposal under the Boosting Innovation Science, Technology and Mathematics Teaching (BISTMT) Programme. Curriculum Corporation will also use this personal information to enable contact between Curriculum Corporation and your school, organisation or cluster. Curriculum Corporation may also disclose this personal information to the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and their approved consultants/contractors for the purposes of administration, evaluation and monitoring of the BISTMT Programme. Curriculum Corporation may also disclose this information to the Australian Catholic University for the purposes of administering the Critical Friends component of the ASISTM Project.  Curriculum Corporation will disclose this personal information to the Australian Council for Educational Research for the purposes of monitoring and evaluation of the project surveys.

DEEWR will use this personal information for contact between your school, organisation or cluster and the relevant member of Parliament to facilitate successful project announcements. DEEWR will also provide personal information about Project Coordinators and Deputy Project Coordinators to the Australian Council for Educational Research for the purposes of the pre and post project surveys. Curriculum Corporation, DEEWR and their approved consultants/contractors, the Australian Catholic University and the Australian Council for Educational Research will not otherwise use or disclose your personal information unless authorised or required by law.

Publishing personal information

We will only publish personal information on this site if it has been collected for this purpose with your knowledge, or if you have consented to the disclosure. When giving such consent you should be aware that information published on this site is accessible to millions of users from all over the world, that it will be indexed by search engines and that it may be copied and used by any Web user. This means that, once the information is published on this site, we will have no control over its subsequent use and disclosure.

The data we collect: browsing (clickstream data)

When you look at this website, our server makes a record of your visit and logs the following information:
