Round 4 ASISTM projects have now been announced. Read more Welcome to the Australian Schools Innovation in Science, Technology and Mathematics (ASISTM) Project website. Over 350 innovative projects have been funded through this initiative, which focuses on improving teaching and learning in schools in the areas of science, technology and mathematics. ASISTM projects are collaborative, creating partnerships between schools and non-school organisations, including universities, business, education organisations and community groups. Each ASISTM project, developed in response to identified educational priorities, is unique in both the focus of the project and the personnel involved.

DEEWR has just released the ASISTM Exemplary Practice Report, prepared by Deakin University. This report describes research into 16 ASISTM projects, selected from Rounds 1 and 2, to be broadly representative of exemplars in innovation. Case studies of each project were constructed from interviews with a range of key participants, and used to develop and refine an innovation framework that is used to make sense of and describe the key features of each project.
